OUR BELIEF’S
God -We believe in one eternal God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). God is sovereign, loving, and holy, and He desires a personal relationship with every individual.
Salvation -We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). All who repent of their sins and trust in Him are forgiven, justified, and adopted into God’s family (Romans 3:23-26).
The Church-We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, a spiritual family of all believers united in faith and purpose (Ephesians 2:19-22). The Church exists to worship God, equip believers, make disciples, and serve the world in love (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:42-47).
Baptism and Communion-We believe baptism by immersion is an outward expression of faith in Jesus Christ and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:4). Communion is a sacred act of remembering Christ’s sacrifice and celebrating our unity in Him (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
The Five-Fold Ministry-We believe in the Five-Fold Ministry, as outlined in Ephesians 4:11-13, which serves to equip the saints for the work of ministry and build up the body of Christ. These roles—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—are essential for the spiritual growth, unity, and maturity of the Church. At The Well RVA, we are committed to identifying, equipping, and releasing individuals into their God-ordained callings to advance His Kingdom.
The Return of Christ-We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, who will return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead (Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12). His return will bring the ultimate restoration of all things and eternal life for those who believe in Him.
Unity in Diversity-We believe in the unity of all believers in Christ, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or background (Galatians 3:28). The Well RVA seeks to reflect God’s heart for unity in diversity, celebrating the unique gifts and experiences of every individual.
Prayer and Worship-We believe prayer is vital for the believer’s relationship with God and the Church’s ministry (Philippians 4:6-7). Worship is an act of devotion, joy, and obedience, celebrating God’s goodness and inviting His presence (Psalm 100:2).
CommitmenT :At The Well RVA, we are committed to living out these truths with love, humility, and faithfulness, seeking to glorify God in all we do.
